WELCOME to my blog!  This is my first experience with blogs so it is a work in progress.  It is part of my course requirement for my M.S. in Early Childhood Studies with Walden University.  I have been resisting the urges to join the online social networks but its time; I can no longer ignore the reality. Technology has changed the dynamics of the game.  I will certainly enjoy the experience!!

  1. Hello Evlyn,

I am very interested in learning more about Trinidad and Tobago, espcially about the education. I think hearing about your country and how it regulates education will be very interesting.

I too am not a mother yet. I believe I am given a gift of best worlds. I get to love kids daily and go home to my peaceful home. In God's time motherhood will arrive.

Look forward in learning with and from you :)

  2. Hi Britty, great to hear from you. You seem to have a grip on blogging. I have been trying to add additional items to my blog but when I click preview everything disappears. I was wondering if I am entering the right area to add post. Any suggestions!

Trinidad and Tobago is well known for it Carnival and its multicultural inclusiveness. We have a very large African population as well as a very large East Indian population. These two groups contribute largely to our population. Others such as the Chinese are in much smaller proportion.

In terms of our country's education system, I must say efforts are being made to ensure a seamless transition but we are experincing some bumps along the way. The early childhood sector is undergoing some restructuring. Recently, a new government has been elected and as such changes are being implements. More in a future post.

    Evlyn
